Son of Mr & Mrs Frank Sarjeant, of 128 Heathfield Road, Handsworth, Birmingham.

Rob Williams kindly submitted the following information:

DL Sarjeant, Lieutenant, 1/8 R Warwickshire Regt.  Born 8.12.1893.  Commissioned 29.9.14, died 21.10.15.  Son of Frank Cuthbert and Eliza, of 71 Leonard Rd, Handsworth.  Played rugby for Aston Old Edwardians.  He lived at 128 Heathfield Rd, Handsworth.  If I remember correctly, he was the Bn Sniper officer and was the first officer battle casualty.
